FG’ll deliver on electoral promises – Lawmaker

ILORIN—Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, has assured Nigerians that despite the current economic hardship, the All Progressives Congress, APC, government will deliver on its electoral promises to the masses before the end of the four-year tenure.

Senator Ibrahim called on Christians to use the Easter period to pray for the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, for divine intervention to actualise his plan for the nation.

Senator Ibrahim, who represents Kwara South senatorial district at the Senate, spoke at Osi, the headquarters of Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State during the special Easter prayers session organised by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, to mark this year’s Easter celebration, sponsored by the Senator.

He used the occasion to reiterate that the monetary policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, had the potential of leading the country out of recession.

The special Easter prayer had CAN representatives from all the seven local government councils of Offa, Oyun, Ifelodun, Irepodun, Oke-Ero, Ekiti and Isin, that make up Kwara South senatorial district, in attendance.

The first female Neurosurgeon in Nigeria and West Africa

Dr. Salamat Ahuoiza Aliu is a neurosurgeon at National Hospital, Abuja. She is the first indigenous trained female neurosurgeon in Nigeria is also the first female to be certified a neurosurgeon in West Africa. Dr. Aliu is an indigene of Okenne Local Government Area of Kogi State but was born in Ilorin, Kwara State, where she had most of her education up to the university level.
